  • 6 bell peppers
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cut tops from peppers and remove seeds.
  3. Cook turkey with onion and garlic, then stir in rice, tomato sauce, paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  4. Fill peppers with the mixture and place in a baking dish with a little water or sauce in the bottom.
  5. Cover and bake 30 minutes, uncover, add cheese if desired, and bake 5 more minutes.
